How to play
Build a word chain
Build downward from the starting card or upward from the target card. A card placed below must start with the word shown; a card placed above must end with the word shown.
The puzzle is complete as soon as the two partial chains connect. For example, with Open the Vaults as the target, you can submit Break Open immediately and continue working backward.
No list of possible cards is displayed. Type the full card name into the search box and press Enter.
Progress: unfinished chains, hints, and clues are saved automatically in this browser. Undo removes one card. Restart asks for confirmation before clearing the current attempt.
Card preview: hover or focus to magnify a card. Click or tap it to open a full reading-size preview.
Easy: follows one perfect chain. Use the button below the start-side word or above the target-side word to reveal one additional letter.
Hard: accepts any route within ten steps of perfect. Choose either side to reveal letters from a shortest route between your current frontiers.
Archive: replay earlier Easy and Hard puzzles without changing the live streak.
